Experience a fascinating Scandinavian coastal country during this journey by bike & sailing ship. Lighthouses, historic citadels and forts guard the shores of the Øresund strait and beaches invite you for a swim or a walk. Away from the sea, fields, forests and meadows characterize the charming region, which is also home to the Danish capital Copenhagen and the Swedish city of Malmö. Both cities not only attract with sights, but also radiate a casualness that emphasizes the most pleasant aspects of life. Copenhagen has been on several occasions "most liveable city in the world" and will show you that this is still justified.
1st day, Saturday: Copenhagen / Dragör
Embarkation is from 6pm on. Your ship is waiting for you in Dragör, about 15 km south of Copenhagen. After boarding, it is recommendable taking a walk through the harbor or a small bike ride around Dragör, with the Dragör Fort, an old ruin right on the water. (only 10 minutes on foot from the berth of the ship.)
2nd day, Sunday: Dragör - Helsingör
From Dragör harbor we'll go through Copenhagen (a copious Copenhagen is planned for Friday) along the coast on route 152 towards Helsingor. Most of the trails are bike paths, mostly paved and rarely along the roads via Tarbeak, Skodsborg, Mikkelborg and Humlebeak. On your right side you always find the water and can listen to the sound of the waves and to your left you see beautiful houses, fields and meadows. (cycle tour approx. 58 km)
Day 3rd, Monday: Helsingor - Helsingborg
Either by bike and ferry or with your sailing ship you travel from Helsingör to Helsingborg in Sweden. From Helsingborg Harbor it is worth taking a trip to Nimis where you can marvel at a driftwood work built by artist Lars Vilks in 1980, directly on the coast north of Helsingborg. Alternatively, you can discover the lighthouse Kullens fyn behind Mölle. (cycle tour about 35 km)
4th day, Tuesday: Helsingborg-Landskrona
Today, you cycle from Helsingborg to Landskrona. The path leads along paved roads between fields, woods and meadows and small villages via Glumslöv to Landskrona. The Citadel Landskrona invites you among other things to a visit. (short cycle tour about 26 km or alternatively about 43 km)
5th day, Wednesday: Landskrona - Malmö
We say goodbye to Landskrona and cycle to Malmö. The streets are all surfaced and lead through the beautiful nature of Sweden. Of course, the water is not far here either. In Malmö, the Malmöhus Slot is worth a visit with old knight’s armour, catacombs and the high walls. (cycle tour approx. 47 km)
Day 6, Thursday: Malmö - Copenhagen / Dragör
Before we start the crossing to Dragör, you still have time to cycle around the area of Malmö. After lunch, we will sail from Malmö to Copenhagen. Enjoy the approx. 2-hour crossing, the salty sea air and help to set the sails and navigate the ship if you feel like it.
Round trip by bike to Malmö. (cycle tour about 26 km)
Day 7, Friday: A whole day in Copenhagen
From Dragör harbor you can reach Copenhagen by bike in just 45 minutes (15 km). Today, explore Copenhagen as you wish and visit one of more than 30 sights / attractions. Would you like to see how the Carlsberg beer is brewed? Or would you like to see the "Little Mermaid" on her stone at Langelinie Pier in Copenhagen Harbor? A visit to the Botanical Garden or, for example, Frederiksborg Castle is also interesting. Souvenirs can be found in Copenhagen's largest shopping area. It stretches around Strøget in the heart of the city. Strøget is one of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe and offers a variety of shops.
Day 8, Saturday: Copenhagen / Dragör
Disembarkation after breakfast, until 10:00.
